The School offers a comprehensive range of academic hoods, which reflect the level of academic attainment, either by assessment or examination.
In the case of honorary Fellowships, the standard Fellowship hood is used.
Two hoods are non-award-bearing.

Non-academic hood denoting membership in the year 2000.
First professional diploma hood awarded for assessments and examinations.
Intermediate professional diploma hood awarded for assessments and examinations.
Top professional diploma hood awarded for assessments and examinations. This is also the hood for an honorary Fellowship.
Award for 10 years continuous service as a Fellow. A gold band can also be added to an Associate or Licentiate hood for 10 years continuous service.
Awarded to liturgical organists following a successful assessment.
